Egg Nog is something that’s synonymous with the holidays – or at least it is for me. And when I went plant-based I knew I wouldn’t be able to survive the holidays without it so I set about to figure out the best plant-based egg nog recipe. It took me a long time to get this just how I like it, so enjoy my efforts!

I use cashew milk for this, but if you’ve got an allergy you could use oat milk instead – it’ll be equally delicious – I just find that the cashews make it the creamiest. Speaking of that you can add raw cashews if you want to make it extra creamy! Adding the raw cashews will increase it by 40 calories per serving along with almost doubling the fat BUT it’s healthy fats – so there’s that!

For serving you’ve got several options – you can drink it as is or top with some additional nutmeg. If you like it boozy feel free to add an ounce or two of spiced rum, bourbon, brandy, or whiskey. It’s delicious hot or cold. However you want it, do it up!

This Plant-Based Egg Nog will be a welcome addition to your holiday celebrations. It goes great with my other holiday dishes on here including our Roasted Winter Salad, Mushroom Leek Pie, and Squash Galette but it’s even better paired with my Plant-Based Gingerbread for dessert. Celebrate the holidays and smash these delicious meals into your face!
