If you’ve spent any time on this site you know that I do a lot of recipes with oats. From my various oatmeal recipes to Oat Bake and more. It’s easily the basis of most of my breakfasts and for good reason – it’s delicious and versatile! Here I’ve got a Blended Cocoa Oats Recipe!

The general idea here is that you take overnight oats and you blend them. Simple, right? The texture is really delightful. If you’re in a hurry you could skip soaking them overnight but it adds a fair amount of creaminess to the texture – so when you can plan ahead I highly recommend it.

This recipe is a great way to start off your day – it’s packed with protein and high in fibre, potassium, iron and calcium. I’ve given you a base below but you can take that and do whatever you want with it. Swap out with different fruit or spices or toppings – it really is a customizable dish. And if you want to batch prep it you can make enough for the entire week ahead.

This is ideal for summer weather  and has a similar consistency to a frosty milkshake, especially with the cocoa. So take this Blended Cocoa Oats Recipe and try old in a new way.
