The best thing about fall coming is I know that I’m going to be making a lot more soup. My issue with most soups is that they hit the spot in the moment, but they don’t fill me up. This Tomato Lentil Bisque solves that problem. It’s high in both protein and fibre and so it fills you up beautifully and has killer taste in the process.

For this soup you’re going to want a combination of fresh tomatoes and canned or diced. If you don’t have access to either you could probably just double up on the other one. I personally haven’t tried it, but I can’t see it being a major issue. It’ll likely just impact how thick or thin the soup is – so adjust accordingly.

For those who are skeptical of the lentils, when they could down they pretty much become mush and when using the blender at the end the whole thing becomes this delightfully thick mixture that pops with pure flavour.

If you love soup you could also try my Hearty Lentil Soup or the soup everyone in my house is obsessed with: Taco Soup. Whether it’s those or this delicious Tomato Lentil Bisque – fill yourself up a bowl, grab a hunk of sourdough bread and smash it into your face.

I made this for lunch yesterday. My spouse liked it. It was nice and creamy, however I found it a little bland to my taste. I will definitely make this again but I will add a bit more spice. Thanks again for another good recipe and sharing all your knowledge for whole food, plant base.

    1. Our pleasure and thank you for the feedback! Let me know what spices you add and how it turns out – I might need to revisit this one!!!
